In a way, I agree with Turoczy and anwer the above question with a “yeah”. However, it is only a very basic yeah. With the advent of new technologies and services, comes a growing use of the new advents. Because Obama’s administration used and is using social media more than any political force in history, doesn’t necesarily mean that it is profoundly innovative. It is within the realm of possibility, that Jimmy Carter’s administration would have utilized the world wide web and its media capabilities just as much as the Obama camp, had the technology been available. The same argument can be applied to all technological advancements. Just because a group or individual is proficient in a disipline, this hardly makes them true innovators.

Oh my gaud – I totally agree with you. Just because an individual has access to new wears does not make him an innovator. Good fortune is just that. True innovation comes from concept and intent.


It is interesting that you would mention President Carter, a Democrat who was also elected when the country was disaffected with its Republican leaders.
